Less to read.
More to understand.
AI moves quickly. Your understanding shouldn’t have to start from scratch every morning.
A publication with a filter.
Signal in Five is for anyone following AI who wants a clearer picture of what actually matters. We aim to publish a few worthwhile stories, in plain English, with a global view.
Our test is simple: does this development change what people can do, what they need to know, or a decision they might make? If there’s no meaningful change, there’s no need to fill the feed.
Context is part of the story.
Every signal separates what changed, why it matters, and what remains uncertain. Original sources stay close. Vendor claims are attributed. Predictions are labeled as interpretation. Announcement dates and publication dates are kept distinct.
We write original summaries and analysis. We don’t reproduce full articles or use invented scenes as documentary evidence. Our abstract artwork is labeled editorial illustration.
AI assistance. Editorial accountability.
AI can help with research, drafting, and checking. It can also miss context and repeat errors. A model’s confidence is never proof. The publication remains responsible for what it publishes.
Low-confidence items and unsupported claims belong in review, not in the feed. Each article carries an editorial disclosure and a dated update record.
A visible record.
When a material fact changes, the article’s correction record will say what changed and when. Withdrawn stories will be removed from the active feed. Clear sourcing lets readers compare our account with the original evidence.
During this preview, no live news is being automatically published. A public corrections contact will be added before the first live edition.
Where we are today.
This is our preview edition: three explainers that show the reading experience and editorial format. Scheduled research and live publication are not active. Newsletter delivery and advertising are planned for a later stage.
